The USL Super League announced the Team of the Month for March on Thursday, with Carolina Ascent FC forward Mia Corbin earning Player of the Month.
Corbin nearly doubled her goal tally for the season this month, scoring four goals in five matches, including a brace in the Ascent’s win over Dallas. Fort Lauderdale’s Tyrone Mears became the first Super League coach to win Coach of the Month twice, after he also received the honor in September. FTL UTD went undefeated in March and briefly took over the top of the league table for the first time this season.
“I’m proud of the way my sporting staff continues to push the process forward, and credit to the players for earning Team of the Month recognitions,” Mears said. “Still, we know the job is far from finished — plenty more to build on.”
