
Charlotte, N.C. – Carolina Ascent FC announced on Monday the club signed forward Riley Mattingly Parker for the remainder of the 2024/25 USL Super League season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Parker joins the Ascent having most recently competed for Tampa Bay Sun FC, where she made six starts in 10 matches, totaling 423 minutes of action. She recorded nine shots and four shots on target while maintaining 84% passing accuracy.
Parker played five seasons for the Alabama Crimson Tide, recording 25 goals and 13 assists in 74 appearances from 2018-2022. She had a breakout season her senior year, setting program records for single-season goals (17), points (41) and game-winning goals (7). That year, she was named a MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist, an All-American and the first Alabama player to be named SEC Forward of the Year.
