USWNT legend Heather Mitts played for two different professional clubs in Philadelphia during her illustrious career. She then watched both of those clubs fold.
Now, as reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jonathan Tannenwald on Friday, she’s launching an effort to bring a new professional women’s soccer club to Philly.
And she is aiming to have the club play in the USL Super League.
“[The Super League] really does align perfectly with our vision for women’s soccer in Philadelphia,” Mitts said.
